Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour doesn't appear timid about talking trash about President Obama in the president's hometown.Barbour, who is on a short-list of possible presidential Republican presidential candidates, took to the stage at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Monday morning and laid into Obama and his fiscal policies -- some of which were developed in conjunction with our mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel.
“Explosive spending, skyrocketing deficits, gargantuan debt, calls for record tax increases, government-run health care, out-of-control regulations and anti-growth energy policy," were just a few of the elements of the Obama administration that Barbour struck at. He lambasted a move away from the fiscal policies of Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton into big government.
"Beginning in 2009, those policies were abandoned. In their place, the Obama Administration substituted an unlimited faith in limitless government," Barbour said.
